Dr. Viswanath’s Vision: “I believe ultrasound is a key factor in improving health equity. With its relative low cost and portability, ultrasound is a crucial component in any provider’s skillset. I have traveled to Haiti and Tanzania to teach emergency ultrasound in settings where it is the only imaging option available. My enjoyment from ultrasound comes in using regional anesthesia as a cornerstone for non-addictive pain control as well as educating providers who practice in resource-limited settings.”
